New ToD's 14:50
I'm having troubles coming up with ToD's, so you'll see a lot of nonsense in the tips for August - and a lot of Bible trivia. (send all complaints about the Christian ToD's to wakeman@cet.com :)

Jazz2 CC 12:41
Project 2 has just added "Jazz2 CC" to its Future Releases list. They have not released any information yet, but I'm assuming that Jazz2 CC is Holiday Hare 1999. (see Wednesday's news if you don't know what I'm talking about) If it is HH99, I don't know what the "CC" stands for...

Treasure Hunt 99 14:09
Treasure Hunt has never been a very popular mode in Jazz 2. But what about an online website treasure hunt?

Jazz 2 City (actually, just Onag) is hosting a contest in which you must find different gems hidden throughout all kinds of Jazz 2 sites. The first person to find all of the gems will receive $30 in cash.

A Million Fans 14:06
I wish I would have learned about this earlier, but according to my unofficial sources, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 hit a million sales in February of this year. (Keep in mind that it's always hard to estimate the sales of games, so that info may be inaccurate.)

I just have one question: If there are over a million Jazz 2 fans out there, why are there always so few servers? :)

HH99 is Coming 22:24
Well, sorta..

This Christmas Project 2 is going to release HH98 in Europe under the name of Holiday Hare 1999. As far as I know, HH98 and HH99 are exactly the same, but this time Orange is going to try out the game in Europe instead of the US. I sure hope it does better back east. It wasn't exactly a hit here in the US.

Thanks to Jeh and Arjan for the info.

STE's 22:15
Thanks to iCeD JPL for all this info:

We've all heard of MCE's - but have you heard of STE's? A STE, or Single Trick Event, is similar to an MCE, but instead of using multiple events it only uses one event to produce something new. Basically, all that you need to do is put a generator on an event that normally would not need a generator (like an ambient sound or V-pole) and then put a certain number in the Extra Event field. These especially works well with weapons, as shown in this example level. STE's also work in Party Mode, and I've heard that MCE's don't.

So, that's another thing to play around with...

JCC Cafe 21:54
The JCC Cafe is now under new management because Alienator has left the community. Spaz, webmaster of the TVOC, is now heading up the crazy message board. In fact, he has already added a couple new forms. So, if you're insane, click here.

Level Lord 14:29
GamerZ Entertainment is working on an expansion pack called the "Level Lord" which will feature add-ons for exactly 21 popular games. It features games like Doom, Half-Life, Starcraft, Red Alert, and, yes, Jazz 2. In fact, over 1,600 Jazz 2 levels will be featured on the Level Lord CD - the majority of the levels here on Jazz 2 City. More information can be found at the upcoming GamerZ Entertainment website: www.gamerzent.com. If you have any questions, contact Sheehan Alan at SYAlam@aol.com.

Poll is Working 14:27
I finally got the poll up and working, but I still can't guarantee that you will be able to properly answer it...

Dopefish Pox 19:27
Bad news. Spaz ate the Dopefish and he got Dopefish Pox. Here is the picture to prove it: (sent in by MadWasp RRR)

Jazz 2 Survival Kit 19:22
We all know that the winner of the recent Gamepoint contest is receiving 500 European dollars and the runner-ups are receiving a Jazz 2 Survival Kit. However, we have just recently learned from Guyman what is in that "survival kit". It includes a Jazz 2 (probably TSF) T-shirt and Mousepad. (probably the one that Project 2 was giving out to the people who sent in their Jazz 2 registration cards)

If you were one of the winners, your prize has been shipped and you should be receiving it very soon.

TVOC Closed 19:20
The Voice of Carrotus has been closed until further notice. Spazman is making plans for a new TVOC, although I'm surprised that they would get a new layout so soon. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens..

Rabbits Only 19:15
I'm late on reporting this, but a new Jazz 2 site has been released called "Rabbits Only". Out of all of the newer Jazz 2 sites, I think it's one of the best.

Wakeman's Back 19:09
I'm back from my 3-day break. Actually, it turned out to only be a 1-day break.. I'll explain that on Jazz 2 Stuff later.

It doesn't look like there was much news while I was away, although I did hear that J2C was down for awhile. I'm personally not surprised. That seems to be happening a lot nowadays.
