Check out this e-mail I received:

[Dr]Dre@m is going to make a new extra pack including some MCE´s and lots of fun and action. He´s not the person who want to make the most amount of levels. He´s the person who want to make quality levels. The pack will hopefully come out Halloween 99,if it will be late I think it will come out on Christmas 99.(But it is a Halloween pack, Halloween hare´99 is going to be the name (HH´99).The pack includes:

-Atleast 2 Episodes.
-3 different endings (or 2).
-MCE´s (I will just try it out).
-a menu-tileset(I hope,but I could use a bit help with it).
-action all the way.
-many puzzles(hard ones).
-many levels atleast 10 in each Episode.

If you would like to help out with the episodes, e-mail finfiles@hotmail.com.

Coolmon is now an official member of Jazz 2 City! He will be helping out with the Information Center and maybe the Links. You may also see him do some occasional posting on the news. Welcome to J2C, Coolmon!

12/25/98 - 9:13 - Merry Christmas!
We at J2C would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas; and thank everyone for their continued support of our endevour. Ah phooey man, you know what I mean, go open a present =)

As a gift to everyone, I've decided to reveal one of the many MCEs (Multiple-Combination-Events). These MCEs can produce things like falling jazz 2 logos, jazz ghosts, mines, guns... etc. Since a lot of people know how to make the logos, I've posted a short tutorial about the jazz ghosts. For you people who *really* use JCS, you should be able to figure out how to make more MCEs by comparing the falling logo and the ghost. But I'll leave that up to you. Right now you probably want to stop listening to me raddle on babbling; and click here to go to the tutorial. Or something like that.

12/24/98 - 14:42 - Race Tournament Pack
Check out this e-mail I received from Another Jazz 2 Fan .. looks like we're going to finally get our first race pack. :)

Ever wanted a real race? Lots of levels with tons of action in them? Not to have to play the some level five times over, instead to have 5 fresh laps? Great use of tilesets and some truly great special effects? A race that is totally enjoyable with non-stop action and level after level of fun? Coming in 1999, probably in February, but maybe earlier, I will release a ten level race tournament pack. It will contain the best race levels ever to be seen! I am in the process of making them. (I am Another Jazz 2 fan). So far I've finished 4.5 of them. They are all made with MEZ tilesets because they are the best!! They also feature 5 totally different laps per level!!! That's like 50 EPIC RACE LEVELS!!!!!!! I will release screenshots soon.

The coolest level which I am working on in this pack is the Puzzle of the Wierd. It is so cool! (That's the level that is half done) It is also humongous, around 400 by 400 in size!! This level will be a real treat, that's why it's the ninth level in the pack!!

Some people might have seen the first three levels in battle mode on the internet. The preview of the pack!! If you played them and enjoyed them, then you'll love the tournament pack!! With 7 more, and better, levels which can be played as they truly were meant to in race mode, this pack is well worth the wait!!

Another Jazz 2 fan

12/24/98 - 09:16 - Late.. but here! =)

Well, as you may have noticed, I put up a cheesy title image for this Christmas =) It looks terrible, and it's late... but better late than never eh? I said.. "Better late than never..." ISN'T THAT RIGHT?! =)

12/22/98 - 18:37 - Tis the Season to be Jazzing
Martin informed me that recently there were 22 Jazz 2 servers running at one time, each one swamped with players! He also told me an interesting secret: The blue bullet bouncer weapon can be shot thru thin walls.

12/22/98 - 18:30 - 102-Level Pack!!

Roaster has informed me that his upcoming Single Player episode, "The Long Trip Home," is now slated for 102 levels with brancing paths, 3 endings, a cool new tile set, and a new JCS event called "Explode Scenery"!!!

I've received the first few levels from the pack for beta testing, and I can safely say that they are some of the best levels I've ever played! I believe there is going to be a demo for "The Long Trip Home," so look out for that.

12/22/98 - 00:58 - Dirty Rotten Gif =)

Well, after working much too long on that animating gif you see above; I finally called it quits. I just cannot find out how I got that crazy w to "reflect" over there.. I can't repeat it, even using the exact same stuff... it's totally weird, and I've spent ages trying to figure it out. Oh well, I figure it looks cooler that way anyway :-] It's for use as a banner to link to J2C.... I think; or something like that =) The gif file might be a bandwidth sucker for some of you; or others just might not like it. So leave me a line; and let me know what you think.

12/21/98 - 19:34 - HH98 Music Prob/Fix?
A couple people reported having problems with the HH98 music file; they said they had a "Invalid Module" error message. I think it's because they're trying to download a .IT file, so I've zipped the music up (it's now 655k). You can click here to download it (you may have to hold down shift, and then click to download it). Also, if this STILL doesn't work, doubtless the problem is on your side (works for me when I d/l it =), but nevertheless, being a nice-wonderful guy that I am, I'll send it to you via email; if your download fails. Be sure your email can handle it's size (hotmail won't work). Just email me and ask me for it.

Sorry for any inconvience this might've caused (some got it to work, others didn't..).

Make sure you have the latest version of WinAMP btw... some of the earlier versions messed up trying to play certain files.

12/21/98 - 15:27 - Exclusive HH98 Music!

Speaking of all these "wows," we've just posted the music for HH98 (White Hare). We are the -only- site who has the one piece of HH98 music in .IT format... download it! (this requires an .IT compatible player; we suggest downloading WinAMP for best performance.) You won't find this anywhere else folks; don't miss the chance to listen to HH98 while you surf! =)

This of course should only be downloaded and listened to by people who currently own HH98; we don't intend to infringe on any copyright, and expect all people who download it already own HH98. It is only for their convience of personal listening pleasure.

12/21/98 - 15:13 - Poll Results+New

Speaking of amazing, get a load of this... we have had 104 individual responses to our poll about the new J2C layout. I would have NEVER guessed.. I never really tracked the counter, and never really thought about the actual number of individual people who visited this site. I'm amazed! We would like to thank each and every one of you for making this site what it is =) Okay, now the results were as follows:

How do you like the new J2C layout?

)#% Ya! It rules! (good)= 84 votes. 81%.
You changed it? (same)= 6 votes. 6%.
Man, I wouldn't let my dog look at this. (bad)= 14 votes. 13%.

Our new poll is the question of resolution. It addresses what resolution you prefer to browse the web (so we can tell if we need more resolution options on J2C). Be sure to answer it; you alone could affect the future of J2C! :-) You can click here to go to the top of this page (where the poll is).

12/21/98 - 14:56 - Clan Links Updated

I was simply amazed at the response to the clans list. Within a couple days, I've already gotten what; 10 submissions or so? Anyway, I updated the clan links page with some more of the clan submissions. Thanks people, without you this site wouldn't be what it is.

12/21/98 - 14:41 - www.jazzcentral.net

Even though listing links of competitors is bad for this site; we're dedicated to news, un-biased! =) Jazz central now has a domain, www.jazzcentral.net; the server is improved, the pop-ups disappeared, and they even fixed some of the graphics; whaddya know.
