12/19/98 - 16:54 - More Frontier Probs =P
Frontier is technically working-- in real life though? Yeah right. :-) Currently the JMMB (the message board here) is experiencing problems as a result. Until frontier actually fixes their stuff; you'll have to click multiple times on a link if it gives you an error message-- and the images don't seem to be loading. I'd love to fix this problem; but alas, I can't do a thing about it folks.. we'll just have to wait.

P.S. I've recieved a lot of clan links but I haven't gotten around to updating it yet; just so you guys know. Keep em coming; thanks!

12/19/98 - 13:29 - Frontiernet.net/J2C MMB back up

Frontiernet is back up; and as a result the J2C MMB is working again. StevenT has agreed to the final terms-- the updates will be made sometime today (the new name will be "The Official Unofficial Jazz Mega Message Board" or JMMB). Click here to visit the soon-to-be jmmb =)

12/19/98 - 8:23 - www.frontiernet.net/J2C MMB--

Frontiernet.net is "experiencing problems with connecting to their homepage" as quoted by their tech support. Unfortunatly, the J2C Message Board is linked off of frontiernet, so it is down right now as well. They wouldn't give me a time when it would be back up, but I'm sure it will be shortly.

P.S. I talked to StevenT; and we have reached an agreement. We're in the process of changing to a united board!

12/18/98 - 11:24 - J2C Message Board Upgraded!
The J2C Message Board is now upgraded to the full registered version! This includes editing messages, filters, searching, little blinking yellow light bulbs.. ;-) There are very minor problems; such as the search is not working yet; but other than that, it's up and going. Click here to visit the board!

P.S.: The we are discussing a team-up with the JC message board. Nothing is finalized yet; however I'm sure we'll reach an agreement.

12/17/98 - 19:40 - Clan Links Updated
The clan links page has been updated with 2 more clans. (earlier today) Keep em coming folks'! Submit Clans!

12/17/98 - 12:38 - Tech Support Up!

We now have a forum on J2C's Message Board for technical help! We believe our current MMB's 35 odd members need support, so we'll try to answer any problems you have to the best of our ability. Since Epic's own technical support is gone, the Jazz 2 community will need extra support; and fast response. We can't guarantee your problem will be fixed: we are not Epic. But we'll sure try! Click here to visit the Tech forum.

12/17/98 - 12:33 - Central MMB Up

Jazz Central's MMB is finally back up; after experiencing some problems. Viewing it from a neutral standpoint, it isn't much different from J2C's MMB, other than one extra forum; and a slight variance in style (bold face fonts are the standard in msgs, and the tables are not split, so it looks a little funny). Other than that, it's about the same speed as ours (personally I think it's slower, but check it out for yourself). Currently they have about 10 (estimated) members, and about 18 (as of update) messages.

12/16/98 - 20:10 - Interview with Eugene UOI
Peter, from the Jazz Singapore Network, has interviewed Eugene UOI about him winning Holiday Hare 98 in GoleX's recent contest. The script from the interview is below.

1. How do you feel about winning HH98?

#1 Well i feel GREAT ABOUT WINING SOMETHING OVER INTERNET at the first place and WITH WINING HH98 IT MAKES A GOOD DIFFERENCE :) I donno 'bout my mom she still thinks education comes first :)

2. Stripe was just 3 roasts away from you. If Stripe won the Xmas Tournie, how do you feel?

#2 Well i had a backup plan if someone else had won and i was close. I would have beggeg GOLEX to let top 2 duel it out and see who wins. 'Cause i knew *****e had no chance of beatin' me 1 VS 1 :)

3. The attention is drawn to the fact that there was an immensely serious lag. How did you manage to win the game then?

#3 I managed to win a game by staing in places with ton of ppl so my roasts kept going up fast. Especially i was at my bets in the heat seeker room where there were always some people to roast :) In the end it got hard though do to Increase of lag and i was afraid i was gona lose connection, so i had to SHOOT for 2 min to just **** 1 guy!!!

4. Will you still be taking part in the next Xmas Tournie by Golex?

#4 I will TAKE PART ON ANY AVAILIBLE TOURNAMENTS that i can attend to. But i have to be warned when they start 'cause i don't check MMB a lot.

5. How will you spend your Christmas Season with your HH98?

#5 First i am gona complete all single player on all dificulties, then host some battle and CTF games on new levels and THEN!!! I am gona put the new tilesets to use in my upcoming episode JAZZ BOND scheduled to release in a month :)

6. If there is another Xmas Tournie, will you still take part and win another copy of HH98?

#6 I would probably ask for something else for $15, since i already have HH98 (hope to get it today), and if he would refuse to give me anything else i would donate it to the next person who came close :) I am nice.

7. HH98 HH98 HH98? Will you be screaming for joy when you have received Holiday Hare 98?

#7 YES I WOULD PROBABLY BE IF It had a little more levels in it, but overall i would at least jump up a couple of feet :)

Just a quick note here: Eugene UOI is an awesome level designer, and we here are J2C anxiously look forward to his Jazz Bond episode. Check out the Downloads pages to get some of his levels.

12/16/98 - 17:59 - Official Epic MMB going?
I've recieved some interesting news about a topic that has been hanging on our heads for quite some time now... a reliable source has informed me that indeed; the official Epic megaboard will be gone soon.. as if it isn't already-- slower than AOL, and down half the time.. it's already in bad shape. So then; what will the JJ2 community do? The anser is simple: turn to a fast, reliable message board that is pretty much guaranteed to have people already there.. our JJ2 message board! =) (Ooh; I love saying that :)) Anyway, to cut to the chase: our message board already has people flocking too it; and you don't want to be stuck with no board at all, or even worse; a board without people. So (gotta say this! :) join our FAST, reliable, wonderful, populated, up, bugless, working, beautiful... wait; I think I'm overdoing this =) Anyway, you get the point. Click here to go to our JJ2 MMB.

12/16/98 - 12:49 - Jazz Central Up

The new Jazz Central is now up... it looks to be a major improvement over the previous Jazz Central; the only major problems I saw was the slow loading and annoying pop-up advertisement. Otherwise; good job StevenT. Click here to visit it.

12/15/98 - 20:45 - My First Update
I don't have any news, but I thought I should try updating this page to make sure that nothing gets messed up when I post this on the Internet..

Next weekend I will have a poll on Jazz 2 Stuff regarding what you think of the new J2C, so look for that.

- Steven

12/15/98 - 19:07 - Official J2C (and JSN) MMB UP!
The official J2C (and JSN) Message Board is now UP! Special thanks to Anniliator (Brian). Cheers! Click here (http://surf.to/jazz2) to go to our official message board; don't wait for any *other boring* boards, go to this *fast-reliable* board now! ;-)

- DethMan

12/15/98 - 17:43 - 1024x768 Verision UP!
The 1024x768 version of the new J2C is now availible and working. The only slight problem is a small misalignment in the upperleft black corner on NS. Otherwise, everything is working. Click here to switch the site to 1024x768 res.

- DethMan

12/15/98 - 7:55 - New Site, New Look, New Problems
Some of you have been on edge waiting for this new overhaul of J2C; others, couldn't care less :-) But regardless if you think the graphics on this site are better or worse, I have to bring to your attention a couple problems with it. As you may have noticed, this is not at www.jazz2city.com. The reason being I have yet to switch servers there; so right now www.jazz2city.com just "transfers" you over here. Unfortunatly, that creates problems; for example, a fair ammount of the links may not work... (please email me any you find). But despite all the problems, and late time in getting this up; we have some pretty cool stuff... the once-in-a-while-poll like you see above; the new graphics, the *tileset tutorial*, old ToD, the new menu layout (which some of it doesn't quite work yet :) and all that junk. Plus we only have this site for 800x600 right now (plans for 1024x768 res in progress), so anything below or above 800x600 will either look terrible, or won't work. Well, I hope you enjoy your stay and the daily news from Steven, (evil laughter) despite any problems :-) (if you haven't answered the poll, answer it already ya lamer =) Quick note: Use the up/down arrows on the menu to bring up more choices.

Roaster has submitted this advertisement for his upcoming 67-level episode, The Long Trip Home.

12/13/98 - 18:37 - Talking Bot NOT Real
Jonsten UOI has admitted that the talking bot (see below) is not real. He just took a picture of a guy and then drew on top of him. Thanks for your honesty, Jonsten!

-Steven

12/13/98 - 18:35 - How to Defeat the Code..
AniFreak AR has informed me of a way to defeat the jjnowalls code in multiplayer. He says to put springs all around the room that has the airboards. That way, if anybody is using the code, they will get stuck.
