Not much...

Now, I know none of you go there very often, but Orange Games still is not up because it is still being re-designed.

And Project 2 hasn't recently added anything to their webpage.

So, to sum it all up, this post was not needed. :)

Oh, yeah.. Jazz Central might be down for a hour or two tomorrow, as StevenT sets in place the new news system. :)

News was sent to me, here it is.

Got this from Ripsauce.

"I am still working on the Jazz Jackrabbit game. Right now, the game looks like it could be one of the best JJ2 created games ever, it starts with poor lay out, and easy levels, but as you really get into it, the game gets harder than ANY Jazz Jackrabbit game, including the original JJ2 game itself."

Anyone know what Ripsauce is talking about? I haven't a clue in the whole wide world. :)

J2C Clan closed

Chod has recently announced that he has decided not to have a JJ2 clan anymore. He has had many problems with JJ2, (hey, just like me!) and he has decided not to re-install JJ2 again. So, no J2C clan for now. Maybe someone else will come along and take over the clan for him. Who knows? We'll have to wait and see.

On a different note, please check out my page. Thanks. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Today's that day when you eat lots of football and watch turkey!... wait, that's not right :)

Let's all remember to give thanks to God today. He really has given us a lot. Well, for one thing, I'm thankful for Jazz2City, and all the great guys who I've met through this site. I know that's only one tiny thing, but I really am thankful for it. This community is really a lot of fun to be a part of. :)

Now, what are you thankful for? ;)

In case you forgot....

Onag's contest, which involves finding gems on webpages, is still going on. Not every gem has been found, though some of them have been found. Keep searching, and email Onag when you find one. Good luck!

DethMan approved...

DethMan approved the J2C clan today. You may begin applying for the clan. For those who are confused, this clan does not include any J2C staff people, and it is not an offical J2C Clan. It is for J2C fans. OK?

-Power UOI †

Gameboy Jazz

New MMB... the CMMB!

There's a cool new message board dedicated to Christianity in JJ2, the Christian Mega Message Board (wo0p!)

Well, ok... this is a little old, but we missed it last time due to news problems. Besides, the CMMB got a facelift a few days ago, so we should really put two news items here! Yah... ;)

CoC3 Downtime

Dohness! I missed a note from Syntax about the CoC3 page being down a week (?) ago... not to worry, it's fixed now.

The moral of the story is: Bother Steven to bother DethMan, otherwise it might not work ;-)

Sorry about that one folks :)

New Feature @ Downloads

In recent times people have been waiting (gasp!) up to a month for their levels to be posted. Needless to say, that sucks. So, I put up an Unrated Levels page. It allows you to download any of the levels I have received while you wait for me to rate them. Pretty nifty, eh? :)

So, now when you submit levels you can look foward to my reply e-mail saying "Your level has been posted!" instead of "Your level will be posted in due time." :-)

Cliffy, what is that look? (2)

Source: Jeh

Some of you guys might remember the funny picture posted on Blues' a while back of Cliffy... well, it looks like CliffyB is at it again :)

This time he's... in an early Jazz promotional picture??!

Don't ask me where Jeh dug this up :-)

Fig. 1.0: Cliffy does Jazz :)

J2C Clan and other news

Chod is creating a new clan. He's calling it J2C Clan. You can see his post here.

More news. I have had some more people email me about my contest. If you haven't already, go here, to my page. Please participate in my contest.

JJ2:CC Level Design Contest

Normally I would write all this out and do the HTML myself, etc, etc, but today I have a cold and am extremely tired, so I just copied it all from Jazz Central. :) But that's okay, because it looks like they just copied it from Project2 anyway. :)

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 The Christmas Chronicles Level Design Contest

Design your own Christmas Level with the Level Editor in Jazz Jackrabbit 2 The Christmas Chronicles and win 500 Euro !!

Send the Chrismas-level you designed to marketing@project2.com before the deadline of March 1st 2000 and you will be registered as a contestant for the first prize of 500 Euro. All other participants win prizes as well, like Jazz-t-shirts and Project2 bags.

The winner will be notified before March 15th 2000.

If you finish the Christmas-levels in Jazz Jackrabbit 2 The Christmas Chronicles you'll get the secret code that will permit you to download the winning levels once the contest is finished.

PS. The Design Contest for The Secret Files was won by 9-year old Emily Williams…can you do it too ?? If you have finished the Secret Files and obtained the right password, her winning level is downloadable so you can play and judge it yourself.

There you go. Looks cool. :)

Jazz goes budget!

It is not new but no one made news of it.. :)

Project 2 Made Jazz Jackrabbit 2 a Budget title. So Jazz Jackrabbit is now a lot cheaper! Something around 9.99$!!
But it is Europe only.. :(

Anyways that means that a lot of newbies are comming! So it is good or bad news..

Explanation And Apology

Hey all.
Finally my NewsPro account is working again - and I'll be updating the J2C news very often now.
I want to apologize about that I didn't post since our last hack (and it wasn't even my fault) and to *thank* DethMan for not checking his E-mail for a while. ;)

Ads Added

Since it's required by our host, we put those ugly ads up o'er there... this could be good or bad, depending. It's supposed to give our host money (they need that? ;-), but at the same time where there are ads, there's a chance of vulgar ads these days.

If you see any ads that offend you, you can email me, and complain to our host (complain to their president for all I care :-)

To you...

To you I reveal... THE AWESOMENESS OF DETHMAN!

JMMB is completely decked out for Christmas. I'm sure most of you already noticed.. I'm just slow. :P DethMan posted all this stuff up when we switched servers. I hope you all enjoy it.

DIE, YOU SAD FACE! LOL

More Screenshots

I was exploring the Eclipse Productions website, and I came across some more screenshots from Noogy's game. (Well, I'm pretty sure it's the same game... j/k ;) They're pretty cool, but still don't reveal anything about the game. However, it does show one interesting tid-bit: The game is Unreal-based. Well, enjoy, and stay tuned, sports fans... :)

Second Noogy Sneak Peek

Source: NoogyLand

Noogy has just released a second sneak peek screenshot of the game he and Eclipse Productions are making. It shows off even more of the 3D architecture and design. Definitely cool; go look at it!

Also, pray for Noogy and his family. His great aunt passed away two days ago. Thankfully, she knew the Lord, but it's still hard when a loved one passes on. Thank God for the gift of knowing that she is now in heaven. :)

Spaz JC leaving..... JCMB staying?

It seems that Spaz JC is leaving JC, and the community. I'm not entirely sure why he says he is leaving this time... you can read about it at Jazz Central. I'm sure that things will work out for the best.

The good thing is that StevenT plans to keep JCMB. So stick around...

P2 Announces Jazz 2: CC

Project 2 has added some info and two screen shots of Jazz 2: Christmas Chronicles on their main page. According to the new info, J2: CC will come complete with over 15 levels and, unlike HH98, will also include JCS. Project 2 is once again having a level design contest with a grand prize of 500 Euros. Also, the release date has been pushed back to December 1.

JMMB is back!

(hopefully) The JMMB is now back in business. I have been talking with several people on the net and everything seems to be in order now. If there are any problems send me an email at: bam3079@rit.edu.

We have also implimented a christmas color scheme (designed by DethMan) and I hope that you all enjoy that. Now it may seem a bit premature, but just think... the malls have allready brought out their christmas decorations.

And finally there is a new forum on the JMMB. The Commander Keen forum. We now have a common place where we can all hail the dopefish. :-)

So hopefully things will go smoothly from here on out. Enjoy!

My contest

I have had this contest for a while now. It is called "Find Power UOI". It doesn't seem to have attracted many players. In fact, I've only gotten one email telling me that one has been found.

Basically what you do is this: go to all your favorite JJ2 websites, J2C, J2S, NoogyLand, Rabbit's only, Jazz Central.... and look for a picture of Jazz with the name "Power UOI" above it. Just email me when you find one. Thank you.

Jazz Jackrabbit Beanie

Source: Jazz2Online

This looks like it may be old news, but hey, news is news. :) According to Jazz2Online, you can get a Jazz Jackrabbit beanie from GodGames. The number to order it is 1-877-GODGAMES. It looks really cool, IMHO. They have some cool pictures of it over at Jazz2Online. The beanie costs $10.00; more expensive than a Beanie Baby, but come on, this is Jazz! =)

Jazz2Online on Hold

Graphix2000 (JJF) won't be able to update his new Jazz2Online site for a while. Why? Because he's so hard at work on an even newer project: Jazz1Online!

The content is still on the way, but I would still recommend checking out the intro page. Keep your eye out for cool stuff while you're there!

Server Switching Problems

According to Blackman, who I just talked to yesterday, there will be some problems with Jazz2City until the server has been completely switched. If you didn't already know, the JMMB is down. Apparently it will be down until the server thing is resolved. Also, until then Wakeman and Blackman won't be able to use the News updater. (This is also why Blackman hasn't updated since the last hack.) It looks like it's a problem with InterNIC, although I don't know for sure. Please bare with us while these problems are being fixed.

Keen Forum?

DethMan (me duh! :) has posted a thread on the JMMB about adding a Keen Stuff forum. Most Keen fans over the net don't have a decent place to post, and this would be a great place for Geoff and his gang to hang out. Post your comments in the thread.

JCS Reference Is Down

Until new arrangements have been made, jcsref will be offline. A new site design is in the works, and the ultimate reference should be back in action in no time. More information on the new site and its new location will be posted when it is known.

Lori Animations Available

Source: NoogyLand

That's right! You can now download the animations of Lori, straight out of The Secret Files. Just click over to Lori Central and follow the links to the Downloads section. You can get the animations either in original full size (640x480) or download the smaller versions that were used in the game. The animations are in *.flc format, but just in case you don't have a *.flc player, DrJones has provided a link to download one, right next to the animations! Convenient, and aesthetically pleasing. :) It's all so beautiful...

Week of War?

Source: Boggy B

Boggy B might be starting a competition similar to Champions of Champions, called Week of War. If he starts it, it would run for one week, with each day having 1 or 2 servers. A lot of things still aren't definite about it, but it sounds like school could be an interferance. If you think this is a cool idea and want to help it get off the ground, email Boggy B.

After a short downtime, PlanetJeh.com is back up. The site is now on a new server, so Jeh will be able to update a lot more. (On the old server he had to go through some major hassles to post anything.) In the future we may also see some updates to the Mystic Legends site and Devan's Jazz 2 Links. Stay tuned.

Jazz Comics Online

source: Jazz Central

Jazz Comics Online is the big surprise I've had in store for everyone and it'll be at www.jazzcentral.net/jco (or jco.jazzcentral.net). I've worked long and hard on this and unfortunately it's delayed a month. The 1st issue will be up December 1st and if not it will be up sooner. However, I need alot of help with this and I need skilled artists who can draw dynamic backrounds and other stuff. You will NEED Shockwave (preferably the latest version) to view each issue. Note: There may be a 5 to 10 minute loading period when opening each issue.

E-Mail me at Kaven@jazzcentral.net if you can help or have any comments or questions about JCO.

New JCMB Smilies

Source: Jazz Central

The JCMB got a whole bunch of new smilies recently, 17 to be exact. Go on over to Jazz Central to see the little guys. Unfortunately, though, you only get 15 images per post. I guess they felt like making it impossible to put all the smilies into a single post. ;) j/k
