As I'm sure most (if not all) of you have noticed, you couldn't post any replies on the JMMB, and posting new topics deleted old ones. Brian has been working very hard on this* and we think we have it fixed now (atleast it works for me, him, and several other ppl =). Any posts that messed up (disappeared) you'll have to repost.. sorry. Again, if you find any problems with the JMMB, please email us and we'll try to work on it. Also, some people were having problems posting replies... we fixed that too (thanks to Brian and jeh =)

In other JMMB news, Evil Bill (jeh) posted his first two posts today! For those of you who don't know of his greatness, Evil Bill was a prominant leader in JJ2 stuff, the webmaster of the official page, and worked at Epic... cool =)

I've decided (with the help of stripe) that the news on J2C is getting sorta out of hand. I'm sure you're all sick of all of the posts about level packs and people leaving the commnity. I have been long absent from JJ2. If you are wondering why, it is because my computer had a virus that crashed my whole system, and my dad hates JJ2. Plus, a lot of homework, and JJ2 got a little old for me (and I bought Half-Life)

Well to get to the point. I am leaving JJ2 Community.
Thanks to all of my clan members for joining. It was a great time playin' JJ2, but it got a little old for me, so...**

Well, after some trouble the first time, the JMMB has indeed finally moved to the J2C server. This will allow complete CGI stuff, so that the few people who had problems before, will now be able to access the JMMB easily. Please do NOT use the frontier board; you can't post there. Also, I would advise not using the surf.to address until it is updated to reflect the new URL; until then, use www.jazz2city.com/jmmb/.

The Dopefish Lives! Or... did. Until Spaz ate him... but he doesn't seem to be able to die anyway, Quake 2 already tried. =) Here we have an image that qualifies as EXISTING FACTUAL PROOF that "Spaz Ate The Dopefish." Not only can you see from the screenshot that someone said (inside an official level, namely diam1.j2l) "Spaz at the Dopefish," but you can also see the direct relevance of Spaz's two teeth... and... a real picture of Spaz eating the dopefish! (or atleast some distant relative =) Compare and see for yourself!



I was inspired to investigate this after looking at www.dopefish.com (maintained by Joe), and seeing a screenshot of this famous text. For those of you who don't know, the Dopefish originated from Commander Keen 4; be sure to read the history at dopefish.com. I guess Spaz really did eat the dopefish!

I would consider Martin to be one of the best level designers of all time, as he scores *** on almost every level he submits to Jazz 2 City. Martin has given me the opportunity to beta test 70's Fever, and I can safely say that you will all enjoy it very much. The pack should be released in a week or so.

Kaven is currently working on a new single player episode called "Goodbye Spaz." The episode, which contains 10 to 20 levels, should be released sometime this month.

1st - ShadowRR (23 roasts)
2nd - TortoiseRR & HH MAN (10 roasts each)
3rd - SARGE HH
4th The Lord FJ (8 roasts)

1st place gets a 2 levels made for just them. 2nd gets 1 level made for them. Below is an interview with RAW and ShadowRR:

RAW: What is your seceret to success?
ShadowRR: A slow modem and a quick thumb :)
RAW: What are the two main weapons you used?
ShadowRR: I used the seekers and bouncers
RAW: How did you use them?
ShadowRR: In the open area's I used seekers, in the closed area's I used bouncers
RAW: Did you have any type of plan?
ShadowRR: In the level their was a loop around the seeker room and the carrot, I went around firing off my weapons at the sight of any one.

Dr Disquise is leaving the Dark Ranger clan because of lack of internet time (thanks to hi parents and the phone bill he gives them) and would like to choose a new Leader. Dr Dune and Dr Domb please reply to this (You have a GOOD chance of leadership)

Dr Disguise says that he probably won't be playing online as much, and would like to say goodbye to all of his clan members.

SvEiNuNg ThE mAd needs the answers for his mAd competition by the 10th of February. (The competition was announced earlier on J2C. Check the news archives to learn more info.)

Outlaw UOI has decided to quit on Metal Gear Jazz and instead make a new episode called "4 Seasons of Suffering".

The main story line for this episode is that Jazz and Spaz spend so much time fighting Devans baddies, that they hardly get time for a vacation. Well, they're still not getting time for a vacation, only this time the fight will last a whole year! It will feature all sorts of neat levels that represent each and every season. (I'll also include the Silent Night mini-episode, only with changes to the levels. Such as it will be a time lapse type of level. the first part is day, then evening, the night, you know, like that. But, keep an eye out for a demo for this episode, and i hope to have it out by Summer Vacation, at the latest. Some of the features of THIS episode will be:

- Multiple Endings
- A few New Custom Tilesets, but don't expect anything spectacular :)
- A interesting and in-depth storyline
- ATLEAST 30 levels

Last week's poll came up with positive results! It's a known fact that most JJ2 polls are not on an individual basis (you can vote more than once). But... we make sure there is only ONE vote per ONE person... this means are results are true to the public oppinion! (yay!) Now, on to (197 individual responses) the poll results...

Dueling (1 on 1) (26) -13%-
Battle (112) -57%-
CTF (45) -23%-
Treasure (14) -7%-

As you can see, Battle won out in the end... CTF have the runners up, and dueling was just above Treasure. I won't say anything else =) Be sure to check out this weeks poll, it's about the age old battle of Jazz vrs Spaz... time to finally decide! Your vote could change the course of history!!! ;-]

Another episode has been announced called "Project: Iceage".

Story:
One night when Jazz and Spaz were fighting with evil clones of themselves, Devan was putting together all parts of his latest project... Project "Iceage". He created with help of Evil Rabbit Queen freezing laser. That night he will use it and freeze... Carrottus! Next day when Two Jackrabbits camed back they saw something terrible! They saw ice and snow everywhere!

Levels:
8 single player levels:
2 Inferno levels
2 Castle levels
2 Labrat levels
and 1 Secret level and 1 Bonus level (I won't tell you witch tiles I used to create this ones ;) )


Zapman also informed me that his pack, announced a little while ago on J2C, will be released very soon.

The leaders of the HH and Wolfpac clans have decieded to join clans, as one. All HH's don't attack at Wolfpac and the same goes for the Wolfpac. If you join Wolfpac, you are also in HH. You put the letters as either HH or W in your name. For any tratiors that wish not to follow this rule, shall be delt with.
