J2C Back Online 18:04
Well, we've survived our latest hacking incident. Some guy put some hate messages on various HTML documents and hacked Roaster's computer. I haven't surveyed the whole site yet, so if you find a page that still needs to be fixed, please contact me as soon as possible.

This probably won't be our last hacking incident, but don't worry about it. We've got the entire site backed up on rewriteable CD and that's only one of many backups we have. I always like to play it safe. :)

JMMB Smileys 17:43
So far the poll results are indicating that people want more smileys for the JMMB. Believe it or not, the JMMB has had 21 other smileys for you to use from the very beginning. You can find all of these smileys at this page.

Arg! 04:45
Somebody has been circulating messages about people leaving the community. So far Onag and I have been victims and I wouldn't doubt that there are other victims out there. The messages may seem convincing because they are from our e-mail addresses, but I assure you that they are not real. I'm mentioning this on J2C because I was fooled into believing that Onag left the community and helped spread the news a little. So, I want to get it cleared up for Onag's sake.

btw, is it just me, or is this community becoming worse and worse? All we hear on the JMMB these days is hackers and people being hacked. If you've been reading Jazz Central news you would have heard about StevenT's problem. If you've been in Jazz 2 lately I'm sure you've seen how bad it is. Pretty much every server I entered had swearing or worse. *sigh*

Epic History 20:02
Aiko recently found an old diskmag on his computer that has a couple of articles about Epic that were written back in 1993. You can download the diskmag here. (600KB) It's a DOS program but will run in Windows. The blinking colors are kinda annoying though.

After downloading the diskmag, run Wcharts.exe and click on the Articles button. You will find an article titled "Epic MegaGames at Assembly '93". That will tell you what was going on at Epic before the release of Jazz 1. There is also another article titled "Forthcoming mega-game" that Arjan Brussee wrote. In the article Arjan tells about an awesome new game he was working on that he calls "VERTIGO"...

Jazz 2 CC Interview 19:56
Today StevenT posted an interview with Project 2 on Jazz Central regarding the upcoming re-release of HH98: Jazz 2 Christmas Chronicles. I didn't see any new info, but maybe you'll learn something.. Read it here.

Speaking of interviews.. I would like to correct a mistake that Blackman made in his previous post titled "TSF Interview". It is not an interview; it's a review. Also, it's not new. We posted about it over a month ago. Sorry about that.

Textured BG's in Tilesets 19:48
I received this from MetalWarrior:

Ice M A N has figured out how to create textured backgrounds in tilesets that actually look good. Instructions on how to do this can be found at this JMMB post. You can also find the instructions on Ice M A N's unfinished website. I would recommend using those instructions because there are pictures to go along with the text.

New Poll 19:20
A whopping 225 people answered the last poll:

Why did the chicken cross the road? (by Inferno)

To get to the other side! (22) -10%-
He didn't. Gizmo ate him. (35) -16%-
To get run over by a huge 18-wheeler. (35) -16%-
It was a display to show that he is more perfect than Gizmo. (12) -5%-
Crossing the road is his way of saying 'Wakeman is Biased' (11) -5%-
He wanted to kill Jeh, who was on the other side. (31) -14%-
This is STUPID! (79) -35%-

I'm glad so many people thought the question was stupid. On Jazz 2 Stuff, I always take that as a complement. :-)

Voice your opinion about the JMMB smileys above...
