My Vacation 14:24
Lots of people have been asking me to take a vacation recently. In fact, there's a topic about it on the JMMB, 2 polls asking if I should take a break, and StevenT even posted a nice thing about it on Jazz Central.

I am overwhelmed by all of your kindness. I've never seen an online community with such nice people. That's what makes us strong, and I hope that the Jazz Jackrabbit community never falls. (come on Epic, start working on Jazz 3! =)

Some of you may be happy to know that I have decided to take a little break after Jazz 2 Quiz II is over. I'm thinking about having a Jazz 2 server up all day, as those have always been extremely fun in the past.

btw, if you need more help with those tricks I posted yesterday, check out Jazz Central news. StevenT was able to explain them better.

Spaz DID Eat the Dopefish! 15:19
CrossFire sent in the below picture. It shows Spaz eating the Dopefish. So, did Spaz really eat the Dopefish or not?

The mystery continues...

Jazz World Up 15:26
Jazz World is now up and running. Check it out at http://go.fast.to/jazz.

Another Trick 15:08
You may have seen servers in the past that have had more than the maximum amount of roasts, flags, diamonds, etc. For instance, you may see a server where you must get 150 roasts to win, despite the fact that it is only possible to set the roast amount to 100 when you set up a server. Well, Greenkiller has unleashed this secret. Here's his instructions:

1. Open regedit
2. Follow the same steps that you would to change your netserver
3. Open MultiPlayerCount
4. Type a hexadecimal

I realize that those steps are pretty vague. So, you may want to download this example file to see how it works.

Note: Jazz 2 City is not responsible for any damage you may do to your Registry by using these instructions or the example file. Always back up your Registry before editing it.

"Game Over" in Party Mode 14:54
Pop Mark has discovered a way to get a "Game Over" screen in Party Mode, as shown in this screen shot. Simply host a game and kill yourself on spikes 4 times. Pop Mark didn't tell me what happens after you get the Game Over screen, so you'll have to try it out for yourself to see...

Status of New Patch 16:53
I asked Arjan what was happening with the new Jazz 2 patch he told us about on the JMMB. He said:

"I'm working with the mac-guy on [the new Jazz 2 patch], and am waiting for his fixes so that I can integrate it with the things he fixed already. We [Orange Games] just merged with another company, so it's been a hectic time."

What does this mean? Basically, work on the patch is going slowly right now, and it looks like the patch will also fix problems in Mac Jazz 2. I'm not sure when the patch will be released. Keep checking back for further details.

The Dopefish Lives! 14:14
Spaz couldn't have eaten the dopefish - the darn thing is still alive and kicking! Need proof? Just download this Dopefish desktop theme that MetalWarrior found on the Internet. It will make a believer out of you. =)

JazzWorld 14:00
First thing, sorry about the lack of updates recently. I had news, but I've been very busy lately. Remember that you always have Jazz Central and the Rabbit Hole to fall back on if we don't have news.

Anyway, here's the real news that Ripsaw sent me 2 days ago:

Last week we mentioned that Ripsaw is working on a JJ section for his site, Mega Gaming. Well, that's not all that he's doing. Ripsaw is also creating an RPG called "Illusions of Darkness" in which you try to save the world from "dark and evil forces"...

On top of that, Ripsaw is still working on his new level pack and is also holding a Jazz Jackrabbit tournament. You can join the tournament and learn more about it at Ripsaw's site - Jazz World - or you can join thru e-mail: Ripsauce@cs.com.
