Holiday Colors 13:51
Eric The AniFreak has created some custom color settings for you to use during certain holidays. Just double-click the files in this zip to use them. For instance, if it were Christmas, you would open the Christmas.reg file and it would give you X-mas colored fur and text. AniFreak has created colors for the 4th of July, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, and Valentines Day.

Note: J2C has not tested these Holiday Colors and will not be held responsible if your Registry is messed up by using them. Always back up your Registry before editing it.

J2 Quiz II 13:44
If you've been keeping up with Jazz 2 Stuff recently, you probably heard about Jazz 2 Quiz II. For those who don't know, J2 Quiz II is a 3-week contest in which you answer 150 questions relating to Jazz Jackrabbit, each worth a certain amount of points. Obviously, the person with the most points at the end of the 3 weeks will win. The winner will receive a prize of their choice with an undecided price limit.

The first 50-question quiz is going to be up tomorrow, so be sure to visit J2S sometime next week to take it. For more details, visit the J2 Quiz II section at Jazz 2 Stuff.

New RPG 16:37
Dino isn't the only one who has been working on an RPG. AdReNaLiNe and Outlaw UOI are also working on one called "Jazz: Shot Through Time". Jazz Central will be helping with the graphics and animations for the game, so you can find all of the latest news there. If you would like to be in the RGP, post a message here.

Edited by Steven on Friday, July 9.

JJ @ Mega Gaming 16:37
Ripsaw recently told Jazz Central that he is working on a Jazz Jackrabbit section at his site, Mega Gaming, which focuses around JCS and Ripsaw's JCS projects. The Jazz section at Mega can be found here.

Jazz Boss Level 14:31
For those who didn't understand yesterdays instructions, Jazz Central created an example level to show you how to make a Jazz Boss. I actually did create an example level yesterday, but I didn't post it because I thought I had done it wrong, although I guess I didn't. oh well, just download the level here. =)

Jazz Boss 15:12
Spaztic recently posted on the Rabbit Hole how to make a Jazz Boss and a Jazz Boss in a crate. Here's an edited version of what he said:

First, make a basic MCE. You can learn how to make one by reading this tutorial on J2C. After creating the MCE, you will need to change the speeds of both of the pulze lights to 200. Then, simply add in the Activate Boss event and you will have a Jazz boss.

If you would like to put a Jazz Boss in a crate, edit the properties of the crate event in the following way: put "200" in the ExtraEvent, put "1" for RandomFly, and "1" for NumEvent. Then, put in the Activate Boss event and shoot the crate.

Notes: The event "200" is the Devil Devan Boss, which is why the Jazz Boss acts like the Devan Boss. Also, I couldn't really get either of these to work, but maybe you'll have better luck...

New Poll 21:40
I would like to thank the 235 people who answered the last poll:

A "Lori" is which of the following Australian animals? (by Rastus)

A type of rabbit (56) -24%-
A type of parrot (42) -18%-
A type of horse (8) -3%-
None of the above (30) -13%-
Arg!!! Who cares!?!?!?! (99) -42%-

The 42 of you who thought that a lori is a parrot were correct. Rastus says that a lori is an "Australian outback parrot with a tounge shaped like a toilet brush and a truck". :)

The new poll is above.

Dino Trigger 21:30
Dino has just released the demo for his new RPG: Dino Trigger. Even though I'm not a big fan of RPG's, I still found the game to be very fun. You can download the demo here (1.92MB) or in two parts. (Part 1 [828KB] - Part 2 [1.12MB]) You will also need to download RPG Maker 95, which I explain in the Instructions. Have fun!

XJJ2 Interview 14:13
As many of you have heard, Pennywise, the creator of XJJ2, is working on a 2nd version of the popular multiplayer launcher. StevenT did an interview with Pennywise about XJJ2 V2. I can't post it here, but you can read it on the News page of Jazz Central. Also, if you don't have XJJ2 yet, you can download it by clicking on the "Programs" link in the Downloads section of the menu.

On a different note, J2C was down yesterday because Mich was doing some electrical maintenance. I also heard from somebody at Mich that the servers were down because they were moving. Whatever it was, J2C should be fine now. I'll be updating the Downloads soon.
