Weapon #1 Name: Blaster
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 11 tiles
Max Range: 15 tiles

Powered Range: 11 tiles
Powered Max Range: 15 tiles

Rapid Fire: Yes

The blaster is your basic weapon. It has a range of 11 tiles, and damages the normal 1 heart, or 2 powered up. The main advantage to this weapon is the fact that you have unlimited ammo from it. It also supports rapid fire. In the hands of an expert, a powered blaster is deadly.
You always have this weapon in your possesion.
Max Ammo: Unlimited

Weapon #2 Name: Blue Bullet Bouncer
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 26 tiles
Max Range: 32 tiles

Powered Range: 19 tiles
Powered Max Range: 25 tiles

Rapid Fire: Yes

The Blue Bullet Bouncer was pretty much taken from Jazz Jackrabbit 1, where the weapon was known as the "Launcher." This weapon shoots like you're tossing a grenade, except the grenade bounces. While powered up, the "grenades" have their own little engine.. if you shoot it against the wall, it will keep bouncing towards the wall, as though some magnet pulled it. While it is NOT powered up, it simply bounces against the wall, and changes direction. Because of this, amazingly, while shooting STRAIGHT, the non-powered BBB gun shoots farther than the powered up one.
Max Ammo: 50

Weapon #3 Name: Frostbiter
Weapon Damage: NONE
Powered Damage: NONE

Range: 10 tiles
Max Range: 15 tiles

Powered Range: 10 tiles
Powered Max Range: 15 tiles

Rapid Fire: Yes

The frostbiter is a special weapon. It does no damage, but instead freezes your enemy for 5 seconds. Having a powered up frostbiter does NOT lengthen the freezing time; but instead shoots 2 shots powered up. It shoots one shot to the right at ALL TIMES, and the other shot shoots wherever you point. This weapon is the most usefull when you have no other weapons in your possesion; you can freeze you enemy, and then stomp/kick him for 2 hearts. Even in the hands of an expert this weapon is pretty useless.. it's probably the most usefull when you're running from someone.. freezing your enemy gives you that much more time to run.

Max Ammo: 50

Weapon #4 Name: Missile Launcher
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 9 tiles
Max Range: 40 tiles

Powered Range: 8 tiles
Powered Max Range: 39 tiles

Rapid Fire: No

The missile launcher is your basic "dominating" weapon. Powered up, it is hailed by the average player as the most effective weapon in the arsenal. When shot, if any enemy player is nearby, the missile will home in on that player, and blow up. The only disadvantage to this, is the fact that it moves rather slowly. An expert player will be able to easily avoid missiles.. at the same time however, this weapon in the hand of an expert almost guarantees a hit.
Max Ammo: 50

Weapon #5 Name: RF Missile Launcher (Really Fast Missile)
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 8 tiles
Max Range: 25 tiles

Powered Range: 7 tiles
Powered Max Range: 24 tiles

Rapid Fire: No

The RF missile launcher is failry effective, but mostly in open areas. This weapon fires 2 shots in a V shape from your gun. Powered up, it fires 3 rockets in a V shape, and does (of course) 2 damage. The only disadvantage of this weapon is it's "shockwave" effect. When you fire this weapon in close corridors, it can easily bounce you around quite a bit; which is the reason most players don't prefer to use this weapon.
Max Ammo: 50

Weapon #6 Name: Toaster
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 4 tiles
Max Range: 15 tiles

Powered Range: 3 tiles
Powered Max Range: 14 tiles

Rapid Fire: Yes

Surprisingly, a large portion of players like this weapon. It fires a steady stream of flame, (which actually intensifies if you're jumping up, or bounced up from a spring), and has "timed" ammo. This ammo fires about 1 second worth of flame per "shot." One of the stand-out features of this weapon is the fact that you can spray it around in a big battle, and expect to hit someone.

Note: Collecting rapid fire increases the range of the toaster.

Max Ammo: 50

Weapon #7 Name: TNT
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 6 tiles
Max Range: 6 tiles

Powered Range: 6 tiles
Powered Max Range: 6 tiles

Rapid Fire: No

TNT is effectively useless in most battles. It has a large explosion radius, but for some reason it hardly ever hurts a player unless you surround him with enough TNT to take out the local mall. When placed, TNT acts like a mine, whenever someone goes near it (except you), it explodes. It also explodes if somone shoots it. If neither of these things happen, it will explode after 5 seconds. TNT is most effective in destroying scenery; regardless if the scenery normally takes numerous hits to destroy, one bomb from the TNT, and the scenery will explode. Regardless of the fact that the manual says, "TNT cannot be powered up." It indeed can. There is a TNT powerup event in JCS. Whereas you cannot see it while playing, it you shoot it, your TNT is powered up.
Max Ammo: 50

Weapon #8 Name: Pepper Spray
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 10 tiles
Max Range: 32 tiles

Powered Range: 9 tiles
Powered Max Range: 31 tiles

Rapid Fire: Yes

Pepper Spray goes unoticed by most players, but is in fact a very verstile weapon. It fires two small pelletes, which normally go a mere 5 tiles. But while running, this weapon goes to the extreme range of 25 tiles; just short of the Blue Bullet Bouncer, which can reach the longest: 32 tiles (only on a straight platform however, which makes the pepper spray valueable). Besides it's range, this weapon has the unique ability to fire in multiple directions. If you look up and hold down fire, the gun will fire a spray of pellettes in an arc, slowly reaching the 360 dgr point. The best use for this is probably while looking for a long range attack. Otherwise, it simply cannot compete with the better weapons.
Max Ammo: 50

Weapon #9 Name: Electro Blaster
Weapon Damage: 1 heart
Powered Damage: 2 hearts

Range: 7 tiles
Max Range: 20 tiles

Powered Range: 7 tiles
Powered Max Range: 20 tiles

Rapid Fire: Yes

The electro blaster is priceless.. but only in certain situations. Otherwise, it's just another "blaster." The Electro Blaster fires a cool looking crackling energy bottle rocket thingy. The best thing about it? It goes straight though walls. Got a powerup you can't reach? No problem.. an enemy on the other side of the wall? Easy pickings. Aside from this however, it's about as good as your default blaster. Still, unless people use the three-layer-wall trick when putting powerups in a secret room, you can easily foil their plans, and get your powerup without getting all the coins, or whatever else your were supposed to do.

No matter how hard the game programmers try to squash this rumored weapon, it's still alive and well. Or is it? The question is, is there really a weapon 0? Early on in the development of JJ2, Cliff Blezenski (lead level designer of both Unreal and JJ2, also game designer in both titles) hinted at there being an "Ultimate Weapon." Later on, Cliff and the rest of the JJ2 team denied this, basicly saying there was not indeed an ultimate weapon. Furthermore, after they denied it's existance, any questions directed on the subject were either un-answered, or answered very vaguely, neither denying nor confirming the Ultimate Weapon's existance. So is there really an Ultimate Weapon? Is it actually Weapon #0? Well, there really is no way to tell.. there is no event in JCS, and no secret that we can find while viewing any of the official levels in JCS, but that tells us nichte. The designers could've EASILY hidden some secret weapon in an "easter egg" that no one but a genius could find. And so, this weapon continues to remain one of JJ2's profound mysteries.

Note: All weapons were tested in a multiplayer level. The maximum ammo in multiplayer is 50, and in single player 99. Please remember that the range is aproximate, not exact. The "Range" was tested standing still, the "Max Range" while running.
