Epic Games’ Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Jumps onto the Mac!

Gathering of Developers and Logicware Inc. Ship
Macintosh Version of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Nationwide

Dallas, TX, February 3, 1999 - Epic Games’ Jazz Jackrabbit 2, an

action-packed, side-scroller, is now available for the Macintosh.

Gathering of Developers, a developer-driven computer and video game

publishing company and Macintosh software publisher Logicware Inc.,

shipped the game to stores nationwide. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was
co-developed

by Epic Games and LogicWare Inc. and has a suggested retail price of

$29.95.

In Jazz Jackrabbit 2, gamers jump into a cool animated world with the

wacky green rabbit Jazz and his crazy brother Spaz, and take on a bevy
of

dangerous turtles, bats and other enemies. The game centers on Jazz and

his arch-enemy Devan Shell, who has stolen the wedding ring of Jazz’s

future wife, Eva Earlong. With the ring, Devan will be able to complete

his top-secret time machine, go back in time and make sure Jazz is never

born. And, without the ring, Jazz won’t be able to marry Eva.

“Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is the perfect action-oriented game that will
entertain

the serious gamer, as well as the entire family,” said Steven Parsons,

president of Logicware, Inc. “Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is an ideal title for

Apple’s gaming audience and is a great game for the iMac.”

"PC gamers have long enjoyed the Jazz Jackrabbit games,” said Mark Rein,

vice president of marketing at Epic Games. “Now, with the Mac version
we

can introduce a whole new crowd to Jazz’ antics, great gameplay and

non-violent fun.”

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 for the PC received great response from the press.

Digital Entertainment Online named Jazz Jackrabbit 2 as the “Best

Adventure Game of 1998,” and noted the game’s “slick graphics, hip music

and great multiplayer features.” PC Computing applauded the game and

pointed out that “the action is faster and furiouser than you’ll find in

Quake.” USA Today rated the game four out of four stars and said “Jazz

Jackrabbit 2 is a simple, addictive game with great control, incredible

graphics, awesome sound effects and a cute story.”
